Futsal Session.

After our UKJK session, someone suggested for us to go for futsal. Everyone agreed...well most of us.

So here we are at the Semambu's Futsal Planet playing futsal. Everyone is kind of feeling tired but the spirit to play is there...

We had fun...played for an hour or so...

After that, time to go home...tending to our sore, aching muscles...fun huh??...

UKJK Second Edition.

Today we had our second UKJK (Ujian Kecerdasan Jasmani Kebangsaan) for the year. The session is being held at the Kuantan Stadium as before.

Things started at 9 am. After everyone arrived, we had our stretching session led by Nasir.

Then the usual...

It's been a long time since this page last updated. Didn't have anything new to tell.
But here's a bit of an update...not much...just sharing some pics taken by friends...

We've been playing futsal weekly but no pics taken so I'm sharing these two pics taken by Saufi the other day...

Aidilfitri 2009

We're working three night shifts...Hari Raya is just around the corner...what to say, most of us will be working on Hari Raya...

On the first day, we asked Nasir to cook something for us since most of us suddenly found ourselves to be 'bachelors' again...like me hehe...most of us just bought something from the 'pasar Ramadhan' for break fast on that day...
Nasir agreed to ask his wife to cook us something...

On the Hari Raya eve...Nasir came to work with 'udang galah masak lemak' and 'udang galah masak pedas'...wow nice job Nasir...our last break fast for the year at the plant ended with us having 'udang galah'...slurrpppp...

Then it rains heavily that night...luckily everything went fine without a glitch...

On Hari Raya night, we had free meals provided by the company...we had satay, nasi himpit, nasi minyak and some kuih...
At least, some consolation for us...we cannot go for Hari Raya but we still have that Raya spirit with us in the plant...

Night Shift - 31 August, 2009

It's Merdeka Day and we're having our first night shift...most of us are just glad to come to work...hey, it's a Public holiday...triple pay...money money money hehehe...
We had our shift meeting as usual early in the shift...we gather around as usual...then Mohan came out with brand new bags...wonder what those are for...
It turns out that Mohan is giving away the bags as a token of appreciation to some of us...it's a recognition for doing something considered 'oustanding contrution' during our last shift...

Well, first up to receive the token is our very own OX boardman, Mr Jaie...he's chosen for his contribution in starting up the OX reactor without delay and without high O2 issue during our ast shutdown...

Second up to receive his token is Mat Nor for his contribution in assisting Jaie starting up the OX reactor...

Then three OSBL personnel are called up for their contribution in solving the Demin water issue recently...Nasir, Mat Nor (again) and me...Nasir is the main player in solving the issue while me and Mat Nor just helped around...but I'll gladly take the token anytime no matter how small my contribution is hahaha...

Day Shift - 17 & 18 August, 2009.

Old news...that's what this update is...
Sorry guys, but now is the only time that I'm able to really find time to update our blog...don't exactly know why or what but let's say we've all been busy...

Well, on this date we're having our planned shutdown in the PTA unit...I can't recall what it is actually...maybe you guys can remind me later...

Training Day

Shift A is scheduled for some trainings on Wednesday. It's a full day training. Compulsory trainings for all employees.
The trainings are done at our L&D building.

The first one is the Take 2 training session conducted by Razali.



At 10.15 am, we have our break time. Food provided...



After that we have UASB training conducted by our engineer, Ng...


Then we have our lunch time...



After that we have OMS training.
The day ends at 4 pm....

Day Shift - 20 & 21 July 2009.

On our two day shifts, we got a surprise on the first day...
We received two big hampers from our Ops Leader. One is for our involvement in the recent shutdown activities and the other one is for our involvement in the recent startup activities. It's some sort of recognition from the management that we have done our work safely and efficiently.

We also welcomed a newcomer to our shift. Rosnan is a trainee from INSTEP on his OJT. He is assigned to our shift and Thaufik will be his mentor.

It's been a quiet two day shifts. Not much to share...but a safe one it is...
